Our first year home - TODAY! June 2, 2009!!
So to celebrate our first meeting we went to see a movie on the big screen! "What did you go see?" you ask. Well, we went to see the Earth Movie! It was a really great movie and I cried through most of it!! I know, I'm an emotional wreck ~ It was just so beautiful! It also makes me want to go and buy a big screen TV! YIKES!
We had also decided to go out for Ethiopian food and we thought to go to Milwaukee because we ALWAYS go to Madison. Well, the restaurant in Milwaukee - CLOSED ON MONDAYS! So Famous Daves it was! It was still fun and the girls got to eat what they wanted! And they really wanted to go to Culvers (oooh, so much fun). So that was what we did to celebrate our first time meeting!
The girls also think that they did not have to go to school because of course it's a holiday (Memorial Day) but also because it was our "Gotcha Day"! Wow, I wonder what day May 25th falls on next year?
So, today I surprised the girls with dinner out at Culvers, their new favorite place. Then we went to Mocha Moments, our local coffee hang out for some hot chocolatte, and then home to a suprise cake to celebrate our first year as a family! They were totally surprised!
