only one class

YUP! Only one class at a time, which means I have some free time! A little anyway, and only like 14 days of school then lots of free time!! WOOHOO! maybe a little more posting. . .

What a surprise!

Normal work day. . . come home and the girls are unusually excited to see me. We give each other hugs, which is pretty normal and then I'm told, "Mommy, stay in the kitchen, we have a surprise for you!" So I'm thinking well, it's the end of the school year and what projects have they put away that they now want to share. What did they color, what rocks did they pull out of our rock pile, wash and are ready to give me. . . .then I hear crinkling. . an odd sign and out from the dining room comes Miss B and Kidist with a bouquet of flowers and Miss B saying, "It was my idea" with daddy behind them smiling. What a great surprise! It made me smile and cry just a little. They then told me I was the best mom! We'll see how long that lasts. . . So just a wonderful surprise and such beautiful smiles when they presented me with the flowers! It was really COOL! Love my princesses!

Another first

Today was a visit to the dentist. Not an unusual visit, but this time Miss B had a cavity to be excavated and filled. So we were numb for the first time! Oh boy, Dr. Tom hid the needle and she didn't even know it was coming. Kudos to Dr. Tom! Then it was keeping her mouth open, well. . . . bite block please, problem solved. So after three sealed teeth and a potty break, Miss B finally got her filling. So that was not even the worst. The worst was getting home and the amount of whining about being hungry won the prize. OH my goodness, you would think that my girls were never fed, or only fed one meal a day!! Miss B's exact words, "But mommy, I missed my afternoon snack!!!!" The drama! Overall, we survived, we ate pizza at bed time, giving Miss B enough time to get her cheek back to normal and then tucked the princesses into bed!! Good night. . . . and sweet dreams. . . .
