Chai and Coffee (Chocolate Coffee)

Tuesday was a really long day at work!! Please don't ask!! Really!! So I decided that the girls and I were going to visit our local coffee shop, Mocha Moments, with a friend of ours. So the girls split a Chai and I had a LARGE mocha (yes, with whipcream). And it was really really yummy!!

It was a very relaxing evening!! We sat out side on the deck and the girls watched the wild life around them. The birds, all kinds, they saw a snake down below (the deck is up really high) and they even saw a rabbit! Then the girls asked for pasta for dinner! That was ok with me too because I really didn't want to cook!! (I know, not going to be nominated for mommy of the year award) So Noodles it was. The girls had marinara with penne noodles and mommy had japanese pan noodles. This, too, was yummy! So our first dinner out on a school night!! Daddy even made it home from his meeting before we did! Oh well!

Girls night out!!

We had girls night out (at my house) ~ and let's see, the mean age was about 3 years old. Of course I'm talking about all the little girls that were hangin' out! If were to average all the girls in the house, the mean age would be about 17 years old!! Anyway, it was great to get together with everyone! Kidist and Bayat loved to hold Lilly, 4 months old, a petite fleur! Of course their first girlfriend, Ava, was over too!! Here are a couple of pictures!

We also had a beautician in the house! Both of the girls love to brush hair, so Jana was in for a treat!!

Green Day

One Friday in Kidist's kindergarten class, a Green Tasting Party was had. The teacher requested that all the children bring in something green for all to taste! Well, our kids do NOT like any GREEN VEGETABLES, so that option was out! What else? pickles? well, that wasn't a tasty pick either. So I searched my pantry shelves and VOILA~ I came across some Lime Jello. I just so happened to have a Jello mold for jelly beans too! So Kidist shared GREEN Jello jelly beans with her classmates.

The "First Day" - Remember When?

It is Monday night, the girls are tucked in their beds and are nervous/excited about school. Bayat has verbalized this to us and Kidist has shown us in other ways. Tonight's dinner topic was all about what we do at school. So we talked about circle time and the calendar, the weather, etc. Bayat smiled as we have been working on that here at home so it is a little familiar to her. (a little relief creeps in at this moment). Then we talk about how they will probably learn some letters or ABC's and numbers 123's and they both smile because that too is becoming familiar to them. We talk about writing their names and using scissors to cut and then I'm asked, "Mommy, can we cut?" [picture the fingers making a cutting motion, because Bayat was not so sure how to ask about cutting]. I said, "Sure, we can practice a little tonight so that you are ready for tomorrow." And we did after our shower and hair beautification routine.

So as there is a picture of mommy's first day, there will be pictures posted of both of the girls first days too! So be anxiously waiting for the princesses' pictures on their first day of school!
